Who we are
A non-profit organisation for culture, education and integration in Essen.
Our mission
According to our statutes we promote:
- art and culture
- education
- help for refugees
- international understanding, tolerance and reconciliation between peoples
In particular we support refugee children and young people in taking part in education, art and culture – for example through musical and artistic support, school and language guidance, strengthening social skills and everyday support.
Non-profit and recognised
FKI is a non-profit limited company. On 9 June 2015 the Youth Welfare Committee of the City of Essen permanently recognised us as a provider of independent youth welfare under § 75 SGB VIII. We are excellently networked in Essen with municipal departments, associations, federations and migrant organisations.
